After enjoying a ton of time to yourself for two months, you sure was excited going back to school
With your new make-over inspired by the summer season! Well, wake up! Get over your fantasies over those hot shirtless dudes on the beach, the Slip ‘n’ Slides you had and those wild beach days! Let’s get back to reality, school time is here, and there’s no better way to start you first day than busting your new found confidence in your new school-ready look!

When thinking of a new look, usually the first thing that comes to mind is a haircut, right? It’s definitely one of the boldest ways to make a statement and a change to your overall look since it’s immediately noticeable. Why not? Your long straight hair deserves some waves and curves.
Hit up the salon and ask your stylist to recommend cuts that will frame and flatter your particular face shape. Anyway, Summer is an awesome time to test out a new look for your mane, because even if you hate it, chances are it’ll grow out a bit before school starts and become more manageable.

Aside from a new haircut, a new hair color is another way to rock a totally new look. Whether you want to go dramatic or subtle. The last time I remember, I was with my guts trying to color my hair
light blonde, it turned out like something light brown instead, since I have a really dark hair in nature, then I fell in love with the results.. looks good on me! Apparently, our school had this rule that restricts colored hair. So I bought a blackening shampoo instead of dyeing it again. :’(  But if your school don’t have any restrictions on hair color, then Go for it! highlights are good, but its tricky! So I suggest go get your butt to your fave salon for that perfect result!

And lets don’t forget the Makeup, the easiest and most temporary way to test out a new look, because if you wind up hating it–just wash your face! You have so many options with makeup that seems overwhelming. Test yourself on different color palettes and find that best color that flatters your face. A pink and Red lipstick are must-haves, for me. Lol :p Anyway, a simple eye liner, a bronzer ,a foundation and a lipstick do the tricks!

(by the way, im still on my way saving for that complete MAC make-up brushes im eyeing at for weeks now! :) haha hope that ill have it anytime soon! )

And one thing, Getting a new look from your wardrobe doesn’t have to break the bank. Obviously, cheap clothes are an option. Instead, splurge on a few high quality things that you’ll wear forever–and then get creative with what you already have. A great way to make the most of clothes you already have and love? Mix up your accessories. A plain white tee becomes super fashion-forward when worn with a statement necklace. Have a pair of classic kicks you love? Rock them with a sun dress instead of jeans. You’ll feel girly and cute but still be comfy at the same time! Don cocktail rings with an everyday outfit. Jazz up a denim jacket with cool pins. Your options are endless, DIY is totally fun. Perhaps, hop on the nearest thrift market – and be surprised on what you might find.

When going for a new look, it’s important to remember that everything is okay as long as you are comfortable with what you are wearing!

Well I hope you had fun, let your great days in school begin!

Lots of love,
Sharee :)

The coolest thing about being a fashion blogger is you can showcase your individuality and style in your own space. Over the course of the past 5 years or so, personal blogging has become a force to be reckon with in the fashion industry, where girls who dreamed of styling Vogue photo shoots now style themselves and take self timer photos. It’s created a pool where those with notable talent and drive can rise to the top and establish their personal creativity entirely on their own.
But what happens when this pool becomes, well, a little too homogenous? When did fashion blogging go from individuality to similarity?
After thinking back to our post last month where we compared how certain bloggers actually looked alike, we noticed there has been an overall change in how bloggers look. When fashion blogging first hit the internet, personal style posts were about the quirky or unusual looks of forward thinkers like Tavi GevinsonSusie Bubble, Gala Darling,Karla DelasKingdom of Style, Childhood FlamesGarbage DressRumi Neely, and Bryan Boy, just to note a few. Those bloggers are still around today and majorly successful, however, it’s undeniable that there’s a trendy pool of fashion ‘it’ girl bloggers, with an overall likeness in dress size and economic status. Some of fashion’s most influential bloggers today can afford multiple Celine bags and fit into a size 2.
Everything in fashion is cyclical — and everything has their moment. But as we become more established as a community,  are we becoming more like the fashion industry in the sense that trends, advertisements, and essentially being ‘model-like’ will (for the most part) come out on top? It’s empowering that we as bloggers can determine our own content, but as we grow, should we be self evaluating how we mold to the standards of the fashion industry? Are we going to just end up being versions of high end magazines? Are we going to be ruled by advertisers? By trends? By the way we look in our bodies look in our personal style posts?
The fashion industry is based on appearances, so therefore it’s not unnatural that fashion bloggers are scrutinized on beauty, but does that mean the future of the fashion blogger predetermined?

Great Deli: Hola España

Last night, Me and my 3 other friend went over Abreeza-Ayala mall to shop and hang, and as we were about to eat, the Mall’s power suddenly shuts down, I think the generator could not bear all the power, so it took us like 2 hours of waiting for the power to resume and yet, nothing happened. So we decided to leave the mall, and find a good place to eat. Minutes of joyride, we ended up at Damosa Gateway where we saw a Spanish Cuisine, and yes, we give it a try!
Hola España brings the rich, vibrant flavors of Spain to life. The deli-restaurant offers the city’s most extensive selection of Spanish cold-cuts, cheese, wines and pasta too! So there we have it.
Toasted bread with an imported melted cheese as an appetizer..

thin-crust ROBERTINA PIZZA ..
And this one, my favooorite! MARINARA ROSA, sea food pasta, sooo the best!
See? I just love sea foods so much! :)
the last we ordered, but not the least, PASTA MIA, the real tomato extract made all the difference..
By the way, the Mango Shake just had the right blend, :)
Aside from the food, the ambiance, its so authentic, feels like I was really back in the spanish era. haha, the place was good for intimate dinners, or for simply catching up with friends. Price may overawe, but the exceptional dining experience makes the price tag worthwhile. :)
Nothing can stop us from having a fine night, even if it rains this bad. :)

Green Planet :)

An avid coffee fan’s way, like me, of saving the environment. Starbucks Coffee has been my comfort zone for years now, and once again, it never fails me.

This year, They got a planner, its a planner-for-a-cause, every drink you buy is equal to one sticker, get enough sticker and you’ll take home your environmental-friendly planner. For every planner redeemed, a donation will be made to Spark Hope, which is a program for early childhood development. :)
The Planner’s wooden cover to its recycled paper pages is so Eco-friendly, hence it supports the pillars through the Ethical Sourcing, Environmental Stewardship and Community Involvement. A facility that is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, an organization established to promote responsible management of the world’s forest.
Had the planner, helped the children, Saved the environment! :)
Anyway, for Dabawenyos, Starbucks Coffee Shop is available at Ayala-Abreeza Mall and SM city Mall, Davao City.
